PURPOSE: An oil separator of a scroll compressor is provided to vent a compressed refrigerant through a continuous channel without decompression and to smoothly separate oil from the refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant from a suction pipe(6) is compressed by the operation of a fixing scroll(4) and a revolving scroll(5) in a state of high temperature and high pressure. The refrigerant flows to a vent pipe(12) through a vent port. Due to flux of the refrigerant, a pressure difference is generated in each part of a compressor. Due to the pressure difference, an oil pump(14) is operated to supply oil to a compressing equipment and an electromotor. The oil lubricates in each part and then vented from a refrigerant channel(102) in a state of mingling with a high temperature and pressure refrigerant. The oil is hit on an oil separating board(103) to be separated from the refrigerant and collected in the lower part of a shell.
