PURPOSE: An electric power converting device of an escalator is provided to minimize the size of a radiation fin by restraining the rising of the temperature of an escalator control board. CONSTITUTION: An electric power converting device of an escalator comprises an operating switch(10), a contactor portion(30), an inverter portion(110), a conductive noise filter(100), an overload electric relay(40), a motor(50), and a braking section(60). The inverter detects the overload, and prevents an excessive switching operation. The conductive noise filter(100) removes the conductive noise of the output signal of the inverter portion(100). The overload electric relay(40) prevents the introduction of the over-current when overload is applied.
