PURPOSE: A mobile phone having base station functions is provided to support both terminal mode and base station mode so as to reduce numbers of base stations. CONSTITUTION: A key pad(10) sets up terminal mode and base station mode of a mobile phone. A micom(20) controls communication line and communication channel for terminal mode and base station mode set up through the key pad(10). An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) driver(120) and LCD panel(130) display setup process. A power unit(140) supplies powers for mobile phone operations. An EEPROM registers at least more than one terminal under the base station mode. A central office connection unit switches call signals and voice signals through phone line under base station mode. The central office connection unit is composed of a ring signal detection unit, a phone line interface unit, a communication line detection unit, and a voice network. A connector holder which connects a connector of a phone line is established under the base station mode.
