LAMP STABILIZING APPARATUS OF BALLAST FOR A HIGH VOLTAGE DISCHARGING LAMP

PURPOSE: A lamp stabilizing apparatus is provided to stabilize the operations of a lamp by changing a resonant frequency to correspond to the difference value between the present impedance value and a prior impedance value. CONSTITUTION: A first current detector(130) detects a current inputted to a lamp(120). A second current detector(140) detects a current corresponding to a voltage across both electrodes of the lamp(120). An impedance detector(150) detects an impedance value from a current value provided from the first and second current detector(130, 140). A microcomputer(160) stabilizes the operations of the high voltage discharging lamp(120) by providing to an inverter(100) a frequency corresponding to a variation amount of an impedance value provided from the impedance detector(150).
