PURPOSE: A method of controlling a traction control system is provided to prevent the disability in action of a traction control system by alarming the abnormality of a brake lamp. CONSTITUTION: A method of controlling a traction control system comprises the steps of: alarming the abnormality of a brake lamp signal by operating a key switch; deciding the abnormality and error of the brake lamp signal; increasing error counter if the signal is in error; deciding if the value of the error count is higher than reference value; alarming if the value is higher than the reference one and saving the disorder code in a memory; and saving the value of the error counter in the memory in turning off power. Therefore, the method informs a driver of the disability in action of a traction control system with the abnormal brake lamp signal in the early time to enhance reliability of the equipment.
