PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing an PIP(Picture In Picture) signal in PDP television is provided to perform adaptively PIP processing for a multitude of display format signal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing an PIP signal in PDP television comprises a main screen signal processing portion(100), a sub-screen signal processing portion(200), a control portion(300), a mixer(400), and a D/A conversion portion(500). The main screen signal processing portion processes signals for a main screen from input complicate video signals and detects a display format of the main screen. The sub-screen signal processing portion processes signals for a sub-screen from input complicate video signals and detects a display format of the sub-screen. The control portion controls video signal processing of the main screen signal processing portion and the sub-screen signal processing portion. The mixer mixes the video signals from the main screen signal processing portion and the sub-screen signal processing portion. The D/A conversion portion converts the mixed signals to analog signals to provide them to a monitor. |
