PURPOSE: A signal compensating apparatus is provided to automatically compensating the qualities of images and voices according to a program type by controlling the qualities of the images and voices in an optimum state. CONSTITUTION: A data detector(7) detects particular broadcast data inserted in a certain interval of an inputted broadcast signal. Signal processors(4,6) process and output broadcast signals. A controller(8) variably sets the signal processing characteristics of the signal processors(4,6) based on the detected particular broadcast data. The controller(8) controls the signal processors(4,6) to perform a high frequency band compensation based on the detected broadcast data and varies an audio frequency band of the signal processors(4,6) based on the detected broadcast data. |
