PURPOSE: A signal recorder of a DVCR(digital video cassette recorder) is provided to offer an acoustic signal to a user by recording a partial video signal of normal play data as a trick play data and recording with containing an audio trick play data at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A normal playing data processing unit(501) processes digital audio/video data through data format proper for normal play. A delay unit(506) inputs the data to a multiplexor(507) through timing delay for timing match, and a couple of trick play video/audio data extracting units(502,503) extract video/audio trick data from the digital audio/video data. A trick play data processing unit(504) processes the extracted video/audio trick play data through recording format. A delay unit(505) transmits the data to the multiplexor(507) through timing delay. The multiplexor processes the normal play data and the video/audio trick play data through data record timing corresponding to a recording pattern under the control of the delay units(505,506) and a control unit(508) to record the data on a magnetic tape.
