PURPOSE: A method for sensing the imbalance of a washing machine is provided to precisely sense an imbalance state by continuously executing the main dehydration operation if an average period value is less than a reference value. CONSTITUTION: After completing the rinsing operation of a washing machine, a motor is driven for a predetermined check time to detect periods for a unit pulse, and the difference values of the periods are stored(S205). If the predetermined check time is reached, an average value of the difference values are calculated(S207). The calculated average period value is compared with a reference value defined by a value within a range in which the washing reservoir is driven in balance(S208). A main dehydration operation is continuously executed in case that the average period value is less than the reference value(S210). |
