PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A process for preparing a fabric softening detergent composition by adding a cationic surfactant to a nonionic surfactant and dispersing is provided which is excellent in softening and antistatic effect. CONSTITUTION: A process comprises the steps of adding a cationic surfactant as a softening component to a nonionic surfactant as a cleaning component at 50 to 150°C in a ratio of a nonionic surfactant to a cationic surfactant of 1 : 2 to 40 : 1 and dispersing. The cationic surfactant is a compound of formula : £(CH3)2N+R1R2|Cl- in which R1,R2 are independently selected from an alkyl group containing 10-28 carbon atoms or alkenyl. The composition excellent in scavenging effect is prepared economically by the process.
