PURPOSE: A method for processing an interface module in a digital enhanced cordless telecommunication(DECT) terminal, is provided to transceive voice and control signals between interface modules in the DECT terminal and to connect a general telephone set to a corresponding interface module. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing an interface module in a digital enhanced cordless telecommunication(DECT) terminal, comprises the steps of: checking a normal state with a corresponding handset, by transmitting a poll data response according to poll data supplied from a handset; transmitting a ring signal to a general telephone set by receiving incoming data according to the poll data; stopping the ring signal transmission by sensing off-hook of the general telephone set, and simultaneously, transmitting off-hook instruction to the handset side; forming speech by loop feeding to the general telephone set and connecting the general telephone set and a handset; and ending speech by transmitting on-hook instruction to the handset side, after confirming on-hook of the general telephone set or not-supply of the poll data.
