PURPOSE: A device for testing lines by a hook dialing from an automatic attendant is provided to test lines using on-hook dialing function, and select to test lines not good condition during operation of a system. CONSTITUTION: A device for testing lines by a hook dialing from an automatic attendant, comprises a key input circuit(110), a line selector(120), a processor(100), a Light Emitting Diode(LED) driver(130), a line interface(140), and a speak driver(150). The key input circuit(110) outputs a detecting signal by having an on-hook dialing key and number keys, and by detecting input of an on-hook dialing key. The line selector(120) selects as a transmitting line by searching unused lines after being inputted a predetermined control signal. The processor(100) controls the line selector(120) and the LED driver(130) by being inputted the detecting signal corresponding to the input of the on-hook dialing key. The LED driver(130) drives an LED corresponding to the selected lines. The line interface(140) interfaces the selected lines.
