PURPOSE: Provided is Saccharomyces cerevisiae (KCTC 1199) having organic germanium. And a method for manufacturing the strain in a high yield at low cost is also provided in order to use germanium in preventing or treating such diseases as rheumatoid arthritis, senile dementia, and various cancers. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing Saccharomyces cerevisiae (KCTC 1199) having organic germanium is comprised of the next steps of: i) cultivating Saccharomyces cerevisiae (KCTC 1199) in a medium with adding MNNG solution (0.6%w/v) at 37 deg.C for one hour to mutate the strain; ii) selecting mutants by subculturing the strain; and iii) cultivating the mutants at 30 deg.C for 48 hours at 300ppm in a medium containing peptone, tryptone, CSL etc., as a protein source and glucose, salt etc., as a carbohydrate source along with 5v/v% yeast at pH 6-7.
