METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AUDIO MUTE OF OPTICAL DISK SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for controlling an audio mute of an optical disk system is provided to automatically mute an audio when a data recorded on a disk is reprodeced abnormally. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an audio mute of an optical disk system includes three steps. The optical disk system includes a program data in which a frame synchronizing signal displaying starting of a frame, an audio and a video data are included in each frame as reproducing and outputting the program data of a frame unit which is recorded on a disk. A first step is to revive a program data recorded on a disk. A second step is to detect a frame synchronizing signal which is included in the reproduced program data. A third step is check a detecting period of the frame synchronizing signal and mute an audio data which is reproduced and output when the detecting period of the frame synchronizing signal is not included within the range of predetermined period.
