ENCODED VIDEO DATA INTERFACE APPARATUS AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A coded video data interface apparatus is provided to reduce the manufacturing costs with the decrease of a bit width and the hardware complexity by using a fast and easily controllable synchronous SDRAM. CONSTITUTION: A memory(SDRAM) performs the input and output of data according to the addressing. A first interface unit(100A) is connected to an external encoder and stores the data produced from the encoder in the memory(SDRAM). A second interface unit(100B) is connected to an external motion estimating and compensating unit and transmits the data stored temporarily in an internal output buffer to the motion estimating and compensating unit according to the timing allocated in the encoder. The memory is constituted with SDRAMs.
