PURPOSE: A compact disk player for controlling the time constant value of radio frequency is provided to control time constant value according to various RF levels, thereby improving the back function of a CD(Compact Desk). CONSTITUTION: A compact disk player for controlling the time constant value of radio frequency includes an optical pick-up unit(110), a RF amplifier(120), an analog-digital converter, a micro-controller(100), a time constant value controller(210), and a digital signal processing unit. The pick-up unit picks up CD data responsive to a play-back beginning signal. The RF amplifier amplifies the inputted RF level for the CD data. The analog-digital converter converts a RF level into digital to detect the RF level outputted from the RF amplifier. The micro controller detects a converted RF level outputted from the analog-digital converter to control the time constant value. The time constant value controller is programmed with a time constant value having a predetermined size, controls the RF level to the programmed time constant value and outputs. The digital signal processing unit is controlled by the micro-controller, respectively inputted the RF level and CD data from the time constant value controller and the pick-up unit, and performs a digital signal processing operation.
