PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to reduce noise and to save power by changing area of a vent hole in proportion to amount of vented air. CONSTITUTION: In ordinarily moving an air conditioner, a fan(130) rotates faster with a fast or a quick cooling switch and the amount of vented air is increased. A controller drives a motor(160) to rotate a revolving member(150). The controller is installed in a cabinet(100). With the rotation of the rotating member, the area of a venting unit(120) is enlarged and thus the vented air speed is getting slower. Thereby, noise caused by vented air is reduced.
