PURPOSE: A method for bonding a panel and a rail in a cathode ray tube is provided to prevent the lowering of yield generated by a high temperature process, and also simplify the fabrication process and minimizes the fabrication cost. CONSTITUTION: A method for bonding a panel and a rail in a cathode ray tube includes the steps of: pressing a rail on a panel with fixed pressure; and bonding the panel and the rail by a static electric force generated between the panel and the rail by applying voltages of different polarity to the panel and to the rail. The bonding apparatus comprises: a power supply(51) to supply power of a constant level; a pressing apparatus(52) which is connected to the positive terminal(+) of the power supply to press the rail on the panel; and an ammeter(54) and a heating apparatus(53) connected serially to the negative terminal(-) of the power supply.
