PURPOSE: A method for exchanging information of a universal serial bus(USB) is provided to reduce an idle time of the USB to improve an information exchanging speed with peripheral devices, by making information exchanges be completed by a response signal in a status message transmitting process, without transmitting response signals of the peripheral devices receiving commands and a response signal of a host personal computer(PC) after receiving data. CONSTITUTION: A method for exchanging information of a universal serial bus(USB) comprises the steps of: making a host personal computer(PC) set up command to peripheral devices through the USB; making the peripheral devices interpret the command within maximumly 3 micro seconds, and return data corresponding to the commands to the host PC; making the host PC decide whether the data corresponds to the commands to transmit status messages to the peripheral devices, and making the peripheral devices transmit response signals to the host PC, if errors are not detected.
