PURPOSE: A release method of error code for a continuously variable transmission for vehicle is provided to easily release an error code by making a central processing unit (CPU) in transmission control unit (TCU) confirm an error code in transmission control unit. CONSTITUTION: A release method of error code for a continuously variable transmission for vehicle contains the following steps: for control processing that an error happens and the error is released; a CPU in TCU counts an error, and eliminates the error through re-starting; If the error is not eliminated by re-starting, the CPU acknowledge that an error isn't eliminated through a cluster; an error code is eliminated through repetition motions of an error confirmation count and a re-starting in CPU.
