PURPOSE: An apparatus for recovering a carrier of a digital television is provided to detect a carrier by setting up a detection range. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for recovering a carrier of a digital television comprises a broad band detection portion(113), a narrow band detection portion(112), a detecting portion of fractional part(111), and a control portion(114). The broad band detection portion detects an integer offset from a transform signal of an FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) portion(7). The narrow band detection portion detects an accurate integer part from a continual point of a pilot detection portion(8). The detecting portion of fractional part detects a fractional part from a continual point of a pilot detection portion. The control portion corrects errors of the signal output from the broad band detection portion according to a signal of the integer part output from the narrow band portion, mixes the corrected signal and a signal of the fractional part detection portion, and outputs the mixed signal.
