PURPOSE: A tundish flux is provided to improve the entire characteristics such as an inclusion absorbing ability of steel, an effect of preventing the re-oxidization of molten steel, a corrosion characteristic of fire-resisting material and so on by using a deserted slag. CONSTITUTION: A tundish flux is made up of 7.5wt % to 12.5 wt % of aluminium dross, 5 to 15wt % of carbon powder, 5 to 10wt % of light dolomite, 5 to 15wt % of rice hulls and steel manufacturing slag. In addition, the tundish flux has about 4 of basicity, 1.6 of CaO/Al2O3, about less than 2% of content of FeO +MnO and about 10 to 12% of content of MgO and SiO2. Herein, the melting point of the tundish flux is 1395°C.
