摘要 PURPOSE: A friction preventing structure of a gas spring for a vehicle is provided to prevent friction occurring in the rotation of a ball joint by coating grease that is a lubricant after forming many friction grooves on the outside diameter of a ball of a ball joint inserted to a ball seat of a gas spring. CONSTITUTION: On opening upward a hatch bag type trunk lid(T/D), first and second rods(20,20a) in the both sides in a cylinder(10) of a gas spring(1) fixed to the trunk lid and a vehicle body(B/D) by a combining member(62) of ball joints(60,60a) move upward, downward, and outward. Ball seat housings(30,30a) move upward, downward, and outward. Thus, the first rod and the second rod are inserted to insertion grooves(31) in the ball seat housings. Ball seats(40,40a) restrained not to be displaced upward are moved upward, downward, and outward. A ball(61) of the ball joints rotates along a circular recessed groove(41) of the ball seats. The combining member protruded on the upper part of the ball joints moves upward, downward, and outward by centering on the ball. Thereby, the trunk lid is opened. Herein, grease that is a lubricant is coated by forming many friction grooves on the outside diameter of the ball thus friction heat generating due to the ball rotating along the circular recessed groove is prevented. Thereby, durability of a gas spring is improved.
