PURPOSE: Provided is a gene coding cysteine proteinase and derived from Clonorchis sinensis Looss which is used in manufacturing proteins reacting with serums from patients of Clonorchis sinensis Looss to diagnose the disease. CONSTITUTION: A gene coding cysteine proteinase and derived from Clonorchis sinensis Looss is obtained by the following steps of: i) making primer 1 (5'-ACAGAATTCCARGGICARTGYGGITCITGYTGG-3') cut by restriction enzyme EcoR I and primer2 (5'-TTA HHG CTT CCA IGA RTT YT IAC RAT CCA RTA-3') cut by restriction enzyme Hind III; ii) separating DNA segments relating to proteinase by reacting the primers with cDNA library derived from mRNA of Clonorchis sinensis Looss; and iii) determining the base sequence of DNA.
