METHOD FOR PREVENTING SURFACE CRACK OF TWO-PHASE STAINLESS STEEL

PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent peeling while rolling and to prevent the surface crack of two-phase stainless steel by reducing a friction force between a roll and a strip and forming a thick scale on a strip. CONSTITUTION: A slab is heated at 1200 to 1250°C for 180 to 200 minutes and is rolled. Excessive oxygen is kept more than 5% in order to form an equal oxide layer upon heating. A deformation speed is kept less than 5/sec to prevent the omission of the scale up to the initial 5 pass on rolling and is rolled under weak depression. Thereafter, the slab is rolled after increasing the deformation speed by 5 to 10/sec.
