PURPOSE: A method for varying incoming sounds of a cellular phone is provided, so that a user can record an incoming sound required in the cellular phone except the incoming sounds supplied from the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A cellular phone has a recording function for incoming sounds. A method for varying the incoming sounds of the cellular phone comprises the steps of: if the recording function is selected by a user, recording an incoming sound required through a recording input circuit; if a recording confirm key is inputted, completing a recording process; if the user sets up an incoming sound of the cellular phone as the incoming sound recorded by the user, and if a terminating call is generated, generating the recorded incoming sound; and designating a recording number of an incoming sound for being recorded after selecting the recording function.
