DAUGHTER BOARD AVAILABLE FOR DATA UPDATE OF FLASH MEMORY AND METHOD FOR UPDATING DATA THEREOF

PURPOSE: A daughter board and its updating method of data are provided to update data of flash memory on the daughter board connected in a processor board with a connector by downloading with only a program from a personal computer. CONSTITUTION: In feeding a power to a processor board(20), the processor board(20) checks an installation of a daughter board. The daughter board is installed if a BTPRSNT signal is a low signal and the daughter board is not installed in a high signal. A control signal is fed from the processor board(20) to a decoder logic(12) to select the flash memory(14). The decoder logic(12) reads the flash memory(14) and outputs through a data buffer(18) by referring to an address and the control signal outputted from the processor board(20). The processor board inputs through the data buffer(18) and performs an initial program of the flash memory(14). The processor board(20) updates data of the flash memory(14) by downloading real data from a personal computer and finishes the operation.
