METHOD FOR TRANSLATING MULTI-WORD TRANSLATION UNITS IN KOREAN-JAPANESE MACHINERY TRANSLATING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for translating multi-word translation units(MWTU) is provided to reduce recognition errors by recognizing the MWTU in sentences inputted in Korean to refer to a Korean-Japanese dictionary, and to translate the sentences into Japanese in a Korean-Japanese machinery translating system. CONSTITUTION: A method for translating multi-word translation units(MWTU) in a Korean-Japanese machinery translating system comprises the steps of: initializing a variable value to translate the MWTU among inputted sentences; executing parsing works for dividing the MWTU into tokens and extent designators, and initializing the tokens and the extent designators for each of the MWTU; translating the MWTU by using the tokens and the extent designators; and repeating from the first step until a morpheme for executing the translating process does not exist.
