PURPOSE: A method is provided to produce a wire rod for a carbon arc welding rod available to strengthen tensile strength and to restrain the increase of deviation of a wire rod of a welding rod by minimizing a cold structure and TiC extract in cooling. CONSTITUTION: A wire rod for a carbon arc welding rod is produced by extracting steel piece material by reheating, hot rolling by passing roughing, intermediate roughing and sand rolling, by making the hot rolled wire rod pass a cooling facility and winding the wire rod. An intermediate water cooled facility is installed between the intermediate roughing and the sand rolling to super cool the wire rod to make the temperature of the outlet less than 1050dec.C. Thereby, a low temperature structure and TiC extract are minimized, tensile strength is strengthened, and standard deviation is restrained.
