PURPOSE: An apparatus for interfacing a frame relay network is provided, so that many integrated services digital network(ISDN) subscribers having general terminals can retrieve a database of an information provider connected to the frame relay network or an internet contents provider(CP) over a 64Kbps speed, by being dispersedly received in each subscriber and an access switching subsystem of an ISDN switching system. CONSTITUTION: Each subsystem supplies a data connection path between a subscriber connecting module and a relay connecting module. An apparatus for interfacing a frame relay network is connected between a time switch and the frame relay network in the subsystems. The apparatus supplies services to many integrated services digital network(ISDN) subscribers through the frame relay network. The apparatus comprises a frame relay network interfacing handler(142-1) and a frame relay network interfacing controller(141). The frame relay network interfacing handler group has many frame relay network handlers. The frame relay network handlers receive a point-to-point protocol(PPP) frame transmitted from a predetermined ISDN subscriber to an allocated internet protocol(IP) address through the time switch. The frame relay network handlers assemble the PPP frame according to a format of the frame relay network, and transmit the assembled PPP frame to the frame relay network through an allocated data line connection identifier(DLCI) channel. The frame relay network handlers disassemble frame relay network service information to transmit the information to the predetermined ISDN subscriber. If the ISDN subscriber requests a frame relay allocation and a call, the frame relay network interfacing controller connects link layers between the time switch and the frame relay network interfacing handlers, to receive the PPP frame. If the frame relay network interfacing handlers request an IP address allocation, the frame relay network interfacing controller allocates the IP address and a DLCI to rout the IP address and the DLCI.
