METHOD OF COMPOUNDING COKE INTO CHARCOAL IN PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING INGOT STEEL WITH CHARCOAL

PURPOSE: A method of compounding coke into charcoal is provided to promote stable work and to secure smooth supply of raw material by compounding coke into charcoal at a predetermined ratio. CONSTITUTION: 0.15g of charcoal is charged to a reactor and heated up to 1200°C in a nitrogen atmosphere. CO2(carbon dioxide) gas is supplied at a speed of 100ml/min at the same temperature, and the time of converting 50% of charcoal is obtained by measuring reduction in weight. The time of converting 50% of coke is also obtained under the same condition. A reacting index is gained with the conversion of charcoal and coke, and the coke is compounded into the charcoal.
