METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY RECORDING TWO CHANNELS OF VIDEO TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE: A method is provided to record and enlarge a broadcasting program by using a television recorder having a PIP(picture-in-picture) function to watch a main screen and a sub screen by simultaneously receiving two broadcast channels. CONSTITUTION: Broadcasting signals of two channels are received and stored after converting to digital data. A compression is performed with a method to obtain an average value based on a peripheral image by receiving stored two broadcasting programs. The broadcasting program of the first channel is stored in a upper part based on memory areas(100a,100b) of the whole image and the broadcasting program of the second channel is stored in the lower part. Two compressed and composed broadcasting programs are recorded by a common recording function of VCR. The recorded broadcasting programs are played back with a common playback method. A played signal is stored by converting to a digital. The image of one stored part is outputted by enlarging according to a user's request with dividing the upper and the lower parts.
