COOLING APPARATUS OF LINEAR INDUCTION MOTOR

PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus of a linear induction motor is provided to be capable of refrigerating an iron core against the heat conduction from primary windings or the heating of the core itself, thereby assuring the stable performance and long life of the linear induction motor. CONSTITUTION: A stator(11) consists of an iron core(12), and a plurality of primary windings(14) inserted into several slots(13) of the core(12). A rotor(15) consists of a secondary aluminum plate(16) and a supporting plate(17) supporting a rear surface of the secondary aluminum plate(16). The stator(11) has a plurality of vent holes(18) passing through the core(12) with being spaced apart from each other. If the stator(11) having the vent holes(18) is moved in one direction by a linear trust, periphery air moves within the core(12) through the vent holes(18) to be exhausted through the vent holes(18), thereby refrigerating the core by the heat irradiation due to heat exchange with the air.
