PURPOSE: An evaporator of a window type air conditioner is provided to induce the required cooling efficiency, and to prevent freezing caused by insufficient capacity of a main evaporator by installing the main evaporator(10) and the auxiliary evaporator driven simultaneously or separately according to the selected air flow. CONSTITUTION: In an indoor unit of a window type air conditioner, which is defined as inner space and outer space by indoor and outdoor interception wall sieves, and ventilates cooled air by heat exchange indoor air inhaled through an inlet(110) with passing through an evaporator and discharge to outside through a discharging hole, an auxiliary evaporator(11) connected with a main evaporator(10) is installed in the side of the inlet(110), and the main evaporator(10) and the auxiliary evaporator(11) is simultaneously or separately selected by an adjusting valve(20) connected with a switch for selecting an air flow of the air conditioner. |
