PURPOSE: A caption display device using a graphic controller is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by using pixel data of a graphic controller without IC for OSD(On Screen Display) for realizing OSD. CONSTITUTION: A caption display device using a graphic controller comprises a microprocessor(11), a graphic controller(12), an RAM-DAC(15), and a video switch(17). The microprocessor executes programs realized OSD. The graphic controller outputs pixel data according to a control of the microprocessor. The RAM-DAC converts the pixel data to analog RGB signals. The video switch mixes a part of the analog RGB signals and the pixel data and outputs the mixed part on a display portion. |
