PURPOSE: A set-top-box equipped with a remote control function is provided to display video data of a reserved program by remotely control a TV receiver to be automatically set to a channel of the reserved program. CONSTITUTION: A network interface(112) receives video data of diverse television programs received from a network. An EPG decoder(118) decodes electronic program guide information of the programs received from the network interface(112). A key input unit(114) is equipped with a reservation setting key and plural function keys. A memory(106) stores reserved program information inputted from users. A remote controller(120) transmits power-on and power-off signals and a channel switching signal to the television receiver according to a predetermined control.
