PURPOSE: A method for controlling an overload and priority sequence for a V5.2 call in a switching system, is provided to control an overload and priority sequence even to a V5.2 call, attempted by a wireless local loop interworking service(WIS) subscriber and a fiber loop carrier interworking service(FIS) subscriber, as well as to a general call attempted by a general subscriber, in a process that a switching system changes to a wireless local loop(WLL) system. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an overload and priority sequence for a V5.2 call in a switching system, comprises the steps as follows. A call attempt number of times is demanded for V5.2 public switched telephone network(PSTN) calls to a V5.2 protocol control block, when an overload state is confirmed after periodically checking an overload state. An attempt number of times, for V5.2 PSTN calls collected for a predetermined time, and a permission call number for V5.2 PSTN calls, based on overload state information, are calculated. When V5.2 PSTN calls, which should be processed for a predetermined time according to a calculated permission call number, are attempted over a permission call number, attempts over a permission number of times are rejected.
