PURPOSE: A method for linking between an electronic data interchange messaging system(EDIMS) and an interpersonal messaging system(IPMS), is provided to perform an optimized protocol converting, by comparing a target contents type to be converted with a contents type of an original protocol data unit(PDU), in an internal of a message transmission processor, so that a user can exchange document a different network user without doubly registering at a network. CONSTITUTION: A method for linking between an electronic data interchange messaging system(EDIMS) and an interpersonal messaging system(IPMS), in an electronic data interchange(EDI) system, comprises the steps of: reading information related to path set-up(a first step); deciding a target contents type to be converted in the path set-up step(a second step); deciding whether the target contents type to be converted is equal to a contents type of an original protocol data unit(PDU)(a third step); converting the contents type of the original PDU into the target contents type and transmits transmission modules by making the modules differentiated according as whether an equal subscriber network, if not equal as a result of the third step(a fourth step); and performing the transmission process of the fourth step without passing the converting process of the fourth step, if equal as a result of the third step(a fifth step).
