NONCONTACT TYPE EDDY CURRENT BRAKE SYSTEM OF AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE: A noncontact type eddy current brake system of automobile is provided to prevent an abrasion of a brake pad and obtain a superior brake force while generating a noncontact braking torque from an electricity. CONSTITUTION: A noncontact type eddy current brake system of automobile comprises an iron core(1) arranged at a brake disk(4) with a spacing of 90 degree and which is wound with a coil(2) to form an electromagnet, a measuring member(6) mounted to a rotation axis(5) so as to measure the rotational frequency of the wheel, a control unit(7) for calculating a direct control current or alternating control current according to the rotational frequency of the wheel and transmitting an appropriate control current value to the coil(2) of the core(1), and a current amplifier(8) for supplying the coil(2) with the control current value input from the control unit(7) and/or a current value determined by a break pedal(9).
