METHOD FOR BLOCKING CHANNEL IN TELEVISION RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A method for blocking a channel in a television receiver is provided to block specific channels for preventing reception of broadcasting channel with restricted ratings. CONSTITUTION: A method for blocking a channel in a television receiver comprises the steps of: setting up or releasing a blocking mode to block a designated RF channel; determining whether a selected channel is a setup blocking mode, or not when selecting a channel; blocking a sound signal, a video signal, and a caption signal of the corresponding channel if the selected channel is the setup blocking mode; and receiving normally video signals and displaying the received video signals if the selected channel is the setup blocking mode.
