PURPOSE: A tester is provided to test durability of a slide typed switch installed in the instrument of a vehicle by repeatedly operating the switch under a real vehicle condition. CONSTITUTION: In order to install a tester, a seat is removed from a seat. The length of a fixing bar(220) is adjusted to support the end of the fixing bar on the ceiling, the bottom and both sides of a vehicle. Then a jig(200) is fixed in the vehicle body and a switch operating device(100) is installed in the jig. A slide type switch is butted into a nipper board(110) of the switch operating device. A controller(300) operates an air supplier and the air supplier supplies and discharges air to reciprocate a piston rod(121) of a cylinder(120). The nipper board reciprocates with the piston rod and the slide type switch reciprocates with the nipper board. Thus, the slide typed switch is tested under the rear vehicle condition.
