PURPOSE: A thermostable austenitic stainless steel improved in hot rolling is provided to enhance productivity and yield rate and to reduce manufacturing costs by remarkably improving the hot rolling of 310S steel. CONSTITUTION: A thermostable austenitic stainless steel consists of, by weight %: not more than 0.08% of C, not more than 2.0% of Mn, not more than 0.045% of P, 24-26% of Cr, 19-22% of Ni, not more than 0.001% of S, not more than 0.5% of Si, not more than 840ppm of N, 20-40ppm of B, not more than 280ppm of Ti, Fe and incidental impurities. The productivity of thermostable austenitic stainless steel is remarkably enhanced by reducing surface quality and edge crack through improvement in hot rolling of 310S steel.
