PURPOSE: A method for interworking a network is provided, so that a subscriber can receive services through a radio communication network when the subscriber is within a service realm of the radio communication network, and so that the subscriber can receive the services to the subscriber's number and terminal by automatically using a satellite communication network without other operations when the subscriber is not within the service realm, by using an interworking device operating between the satellite communication network on the basis of a global system for mobile communication(GSM) standard and the radio communication network on the basis of an international standard-41C(IS-41C) standard, to translate protocols between the two communication networks, and by mapping recognition numbers used in the two communication networks to interwork the two networks as one network. CONSTITUTION: A radio communication network and a satellite communication network have different protocols by using an interworking device. A method for interworking a network between the two communication networks comprises the steps of: converting/translating the protocols by the interworking device, and mapping internal recognition numbers; if a subscriber is within a service realm of the radio communication network, supplying services of the radio communication network to the subscriber, and if the subscriber is not within the service realm, supplying services of the satellite communication network to the subscriber by executing an automatic roaming process.
