PURPOSE: A circuit for announcements in a private exchange is provided, so that many subscribers can listen to the announcements from firstly recorded parts all the time, by outputting serial data composed of many channels as having frame units, and by selectively locating many stored voice messages in the channels. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for announcements in a private comprises an interface, a voice memory(260), a controller, and a serial/parallel data converter(250). If the controller reads a mode control signal, an input/output terminal designating signal, and a voice message designating signal from the interface and outputs the designating signals to the voice memory and the serial/parallel data converter when a voice message is reproduced, the voice memory outputs a voice message according to an address to the serial/parallel data converter by the controller. The address is designated through a designated input/output terminal. If the controller reads the signals and outputs the signals, the serial/parallel data converter converts the voice message into a serial data column, and outputs the voice message as a highway through an output terminal. The serial data column having frame units is composed of many channels. If the controller reads and outputs the signals when the voice message is recorded, the serial/parallel data converter converts the voice message to a designated input/output terminal of the voice memory by the controller. If the controller reads and outputs the signals, the voice memory receives the voice message through a designated input/output terminal, and stores the voice message in an address that is designated by the voice message-designating signal by the controller.
