METHOD FOR MONITORING SYSTEM BY SCREEN BUFFER RETRIEVAL

PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a system using a screen buffer retrieval is provided to notify the system's booting state and whether something wrong or not to a system manager in remote place by detecting, for a server management board, a screen message output during system booting. CONSTITUTION: A method for monitoring a system using a screen buffer retrieval comprises the steps of: copying contents of the screen buffer in a video memory area to a temporary buffer in a program; retrieving a message of a Basic Input/Output System(BIOS) in the temporary buffer copied the screen buffer's contents; and reporting a retrieved result for the BIOS message, to a system manager in a remote place.
