PURPOSE: A method for aging a piston of a hermetic compressor is provided to reduce initial torque of the compressor by air-cooling a piston assembly after heating at 300°C for 10 minutes, thereby improving compression efficiency and life-span of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: In a method for aging a piston of a hermetic compressor in which a poly tetrafluoro ethylene(170) is inserted in a caulking part(121) of a piston(120) and a ball(150) of a piston rod(130) is inserted in the caulking part to be connected by caulking, and such a piston assembly is heated at an atmosphere of 300°C for 10 minutes and cooled by aircooling, wherein the temperature 300°C is appropriate for preventing dimensional deviation of the piston and thermal and chemical change of the poly tetrafluoro ethylene, so that an initial input power supply is reduced 3-4W and an efficiency of the compressor is improved 2-3%.
