PURPOSE: A method for generating a register transfer level code(RTL) is provided to be easy to change a process, and to shorten a circuit design time sufficiently. CONSTITUTION: In a method for generating a register transfer level code(RTL), all cells on a circuit are converted into an assignment statement of a corresponding intermediate format(100), and the converted assignment statement is divided into a sequential circuit and a combination circuit(110). The assignment statement divided into the combination circuit is converted into an equivalent continuous assignment statement(120), and an intermediate node input is converted into a corresponding equivalent logic so that all inputs of the continuous assignment statement are configured only by inputs of the combination circuit(130). The assignment statement divided into the sequential circuit is converted into a procedural assignment statement(140), and the results of the steps(130,140) are unified(150).
