PREPARATION METHOD OF GLASS-CERAMIC

PURPOSE: A method for preparing glass-ceramic is provided, to improve the mechanical property and to recycle waste material. CONSTITUTION: A glass-ceramic is prepared by mixing 60-80 wt% of shaft furnace slag, 15-35 wt% of waste cast-iron; 0.5-1.0 wt% of serpentine; 2.0-3.0 wt% of chromite; melting the mixture at the temperature of 1,500-1,540°C; and crystallizing the melted one at the temperature of 850-880°C for 1.5-2.5 hours (the initial nuclear formation temperature of 680°C). The final composition of glass-ceramic is SiO2 : Al2O3 : CaO : MgO : Cr2O3 = 42-50 : 11-15 : 25-30 : 4.6-5.7 : 0.9-1.3.
