METHOD FOR PERFORMING AUTOMATIC SEARCH IN TELEVISION RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A method for performing automatic search in a television receiver is provided to perform automatic search for broadcasting channels in order to select only a channel more than a reference value. CONSTITUTION: A method for performing automatic search in a television receiver comprises the steps of: changing sequentially channel to perform automatic search if an automatic search mode is selected; determining whether a received broadcasting signal is more than a predetermined reference value, or not; storing selection data of a corresponding channel if the received broadcasting signal is higher than the predetermined reference value; displaying whether the selection data of the corresponding channel are stored, or not if the received broadcasting signal is lower than the predetermined reference value; determining whether a storing request key is selected, or not according to the displayed contents; and storing the selection data of the corresponding channel if the storing request key is selected.
