PURPOSE: A method for measuring heat transferring coefficient is provided to improve the degree of a cooling formula model required for hitting a hot rolled steel material into a certain target winding up temperature. CONSTITUTION: A change in temperature is obtained by using SUS304 without deformation by using a dilatometer while cooling in air. Herein, the SUS304 is steel, which does not generate heat emitting occurrence. The experiment is operated in vacuum not to generate a natural current. The heat transferring coefficient of the SUS304 is obtained by a formula, hvac(SUS)=Vd(pCpT)/dt over A(T-To). Herein, V is the volume of a sample, A is the surface area of the sample, and p is the density of the sample. Cp is the specific heat of the sample. Herein, the Cp is changed according to the temperature. T is absolute temperature, To is the standard temperature, and t is time. hvac is the heat transferring coefficient of SUS304. Herein, dT/dt is obtained by the experiment.
